About Jim Bryson
Jim Bryson’s tunes have been described both as “folk songs played with rock instruments” and “rock songs played with folk instruments” – while in truth they almost consistently lilt and sway between the two. This Ottawa-based artist’s songs are a cultivated mix of hope and doubt, longing and uncertainty, and are flush with endearing tales culled from the town he calls home.
A “Singer Songer”, sideman and producer, Jim has released five critically-acclaimed solo recordings, with the most recent, 2016’s Somewhere We Will Find Our Place, making many a year-end best-of list here in Canada, notably in Macleans and CBC Music Top 100 songs (2 songs).
Jim has toured extensively Canada and the UK, continuing to build a loyal fan base in both countries.
