Event Description

Join us as we celebrate Alberta Culture Days with FREE arts programming, live music, and multicultural events at the Canmore Festival of Art & Creativity, Sept. 18-20, 2026!

Participate in three days filled to the brim with music and live performances, art workshops and demonstrations, hands-on activities, films, community campfires, and outdoor markets as we celebrate over a decade of Bringing Community and Creativity Together.

At the heart of our festival is the belief that creativity brings people together. Whether we are creating, performing, learning, or simply sharing a moment together, the arts foster belonging and strengthen the fabric of our community. This year's theme is a celebration of the countless connections that begin with a single creative act. It is a reminder that when we come together, we don't just experience art—we build a stronger, more connected, and more vibrant Bow Valley.

Motown 6 is an Alberta-based soul & funk band that delivers super-charged rhythms with vibrant vocal harmonies. This soulful sextet features the vocal talents of Dallas Hayes-Sparks and Jo Marillier powered by a rhythm section that includes Canmore's own Matt Mueller (drums), Darren Reeder (bass), Daniella Rubeling (keys) and Arif Boga (guitar).

Their passions intersect at a love for all things rhythm and blues, as they present a musical homage to the classic catalogs of Motown, Stax and Chess straight through to the swampy sounds of New Orleans. With a relentless blues backbeat, Motown 6 revels in the funkier side of Nashville and hard grooves of contemporary British soul.

Peter & the Wolves play old fashioned rock n' roll that's made for dancing like it's the 1950s. Howlin' Pete Cormier started the band in 2011 with rhythm at the roots, and the purpose of creating a hoppin' dance floor at every show.

The Bow Valley’s very own circus troupe, Beau Valley Circus is a local collective of performing artists dedicated to bringing joy, wonder, and creativity to the stage and street.

The Suzie Q Band has been a longtime favorite dance band in the Bow Valley and Western Canada, performing the classic hits taken straight from the musical soundtrack of our lives. The group features lead vocalist and pianist Suzanne Morley, drummer/vocalist Jon Frolick, guitarist Brent Saklofske, Keith Day on keyboards, and bassist/vocalist Neil Bentley.
