Winnipeg-based Anishnaabe and settler folk-soul musician Ila Barker takes listeners on an introspective journey, inviting them to connect deeply with their own emotions. Through her work as founding curator with AIRsessions, a series of free music workshops for youth, Barker advocates for gender equity and Indigenous representation in music.

The non-binary artist and producer is an organizer with Good + Plenty Producer’s Club and runs The Clubhouse, a community studio and hub that offers accessible rental rates and training for women, 2Spirit, non-binary, and gender diverse folks in Winnipeg
