Martin Harley is a celebrated UK roots, blues, and Americana guitarist, singer, and songwriter known for his expressive slide guitar style and captivating live performances. Born in Cardiff, Wales, Harley has spent more than two decades touring internationally and building a reputation as one of the leading voices in contemporary roots music. His sound blends elements of Delta blues, folk, and Americana, delivered with intricate guitar work and soulful songwriting. Critics have praised his musicianship widely, with Guitarist Magazine describing him as “one of the UK’s finest contemporary roots musicians,” while others have called his slide guitar playing “spellbinding.”
Harley has released numerous acclaimed albums, many recorded in musical hubs such as Texas and Nashville, and has performed at renowned venues and festivals around the world including the Royal Albert Hall, Glastonbury Festival, and the legendary Troubadour in Los Angeles.
