Beneath the soaring acoustics of the Cathedral dome, the Chapel Choir offers a captivating program featuring works by William Byrd, Jonathan Dove, Canadian composer Eleanor Daley, and even an arrangement of ‘Make you feel my love’ by Bob Dylan.
The Cathedral Church of St. George in Kingston, Ontario is honoured to host the acclaimed Chapel Choir of Pembroke College, Cambridge (UK) for two special musical offerings at the end of July as part of their Canada tour. Known for delivering “life-enhancing performances,” the choir has spent the past decade under the direction of esteemed organist and BBC presenter Anna Lapwood.
Made up of students from a wide range of disciplines, the choir stands out for the richness of its repertoire and the quality of its performances, combining traditional sacred music with contemporary choral works. Their tours have taken them to the four corners of the globe: the UK, Europe, the USA, Thailand, Zambia... and this summer, they're bringing their extraordinary sound to Kingston for what promise to be unforgettable performances.
