Event Description

Saturday, July 22, 2023 promises to be an unforgettable evening of music, dance, and celebration at Fort Henry National Historic Site.

Music and performance are key elements of the Fort Henry experience. This year, Fort Henry’s annual Tattoo is evolving to incorporate a variety of music and performances from a number of diverse acts, both new and returning.

An exciting new addition, the powerful Desna Ukrainian Dance group from Toronto will take the stage with their intricate costumes and breathtaking choreography.

Honouring military tradition while celebrating the diversity of the cultural arts, performers and acts from across Ontario will fill the parade square at Fort Henry National Historic Site. An explosive fireworks show is the grand finale to the evening.

The Dancers of Kitigan Zibi, representing the Algonquin First Nation of Kitigan Zibi from Maniwaki, QC, will perform indigenous dance, while Navillera Korean Dance Company & Samulnori Canada Team merge Korean drumming and dance, into fusion of rhythmic beats and enchanting movements.

Military marching band, the Regimental Band of the Royal Hamilton Light Infantry returns as do the Rob Roy Pipe Band & Highland Dancers and the 2 Canadian Mechanized Brigade Group Pipes and Drums.

The renowned Fort Henry Guard will step back into the spotlight and perform their 19th-century drill re-enactment, showcasing precision and historic authenticity.

Gates open at 6:30 p.m. with entertainment slated from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. To secure tickets and learn more about Tattoo at Fort Henry, visit forthenry.com/tattoo.
