Event Description
The Mountain Man of Comedy, K. Trevor Wilson has spent over 20 years in entertainment. He’s best known for his work on the award-winning TV series Letterkenny (for which he received a Best Supporting Actor nomination at the 2018 Canadian Screen Awards), but you’ll also know him from appearances on LOL: Last One Laughing Canada, What Would Sal Do, Showcase’s Billable Hours, NBC’s Darcy’s Wildlife and A&E’s Breakout Kings. He’s performed stand-up on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Comedy Central’s Roast Battle, and is a frequent performer at the Just For Laughs festival in Montreal. His debut album, SexCop FirePenis reached the top of the iTunes Comedy Charts and was named Best Taped Live Performance at the 2015 Canadian Comedy Awards. His follow up, Sorry! (A Canadian Album) debuted at #1 on iTunes and was nominated for a 2018 Juno Award.
Opening for K. Trevor is Guled Abdi, a comedian, actor, writer, and 1/4 of the multi award-winning sketch troupe TallBoyz II Men. He’s also one of the co-creators and stars of the sketch show TallBoyz (CBC). Guled has performed at OFF-JFL, Montreal Sketchfest and the Toronto Fringe Festival just to name a few. You can catch Guled in the reboot of The Kids in The Hall or at random bars you didn’t know had a comedy show.
PEC-based comic Raj Dhillon will also be doing a set! Join us at The Broom Factory on night four of KCFF – don’t worry, you’ll have time to head over after a 7 pm screening – let’s make a night of it!
