Event Description
At this fun workshop and dance event, all necessary instruction will be provided - you need nothing but curiousity, a little energy and a willingness to learn. Comfy dance shoes are a plus. Balfolk dancing is popular social dancing from Western Europe, a recent revival of traditional, mostly French, folk dances. Some partner dances, some group dances, some snakey chain dances. It’s a little like a square dance. You don't need any partners or prior experience. We'll show you how!
Featuring the wonderful traditional music of Alison Gowan, of Chanter La Pomme and the accessible, fun dance instruction of seasoned Balfolk dance instructor Louise Marius, who is here from the Netherlands.
