The Hotel Wolfe Island, formerly known as the General Wolfe Inn, is under new ownership. We've been transforming the Island’s historic landmark hotel and waterfront, creating a new home for sustainable, farm-to-table food and great live music, arts, and community events — rooted in the Island’s rich agricultural history and our growing creative community.

We're committed to presenting the best in local and national/international touring artists in music, theatre, dance, DJ nights, and more, and fostering a thriving local arts scene.

The Hotel features four venues:

The Dawson Restaurant — Our main restaurant space, a spacious bar/restaurant with stage and PA, and backline including classic guitar amps and drums, Hammond organ, and Fender Rhodes electric piano.
This venue comfortably seats up to 80 people (or accommodates 96 at cocktail capacity), features a stage for a live band, a pool table, a wall of windows overlooking the lake and the Kingston city lights, and a long bar for casual socializing.

The Piano Room — a more intimate (but still spacious!) venue, ideal for jazz and folk shows, featuring a 1951 Steinway B grand piano. A formal private dining room with white linens and a wall of windows overlooking the lake and Kingston city lights. This room comfortably seats 60 people.
Visit our YouTube channel to watch "The Hotel Sessions" performances!

The Waterfront Patio — our outdoor restaurant patio, with a gorgeous view of the St. Lawrence River. Live music and other events are often held here, from late Spring to late Summer.

The Wolfe Island Commons Stage — Waterfront Festival Stage with a 800 person capacity

The Hotel Wolfe Island is co-owned by Hugh Christopher Brown, songwriter, vocalist, and keyboardist of legendary Canadian indie funk/soul band The Bourbon Tabernacle Choir, who has played with countless musicians, from The Tragically Hip to B.B. King, and produced dozens of albums through Wolfe Island Records.
