After 25 years and countless shows as a member of many bands, multi-instrumentalist Gerald McGrath is emerging as one of Kingston, Ontario’s favourite solo performers. Gerald uses live instrument and vocal looping to create sonic soundscapes that captivate listeners and has become known for his engaging and captivating performances.

Gerald has been fortunate to share a stage with many excellent musicians over the years, including Kingston legend Spencer Evans, folk-country chanteuse Mellow Lily, and current Glorious Son Chris Koster. Gerald has performed in bands that have played everything from alternative, to country, to hard rock, and everything in between. Gerald has taken all of his experience in those disparate genres, and distilled it into his songwriting.

Gerald’s original music takes the best parts of 90’s alternative and present-day indie music and blends them in a way that has drawn comparisons to the Gin Blossoms and the Watchmen. Currently working on his first album of solo material, his first single, Kenopsia, is available on all streaming platforms as of March 1, 2023. Gerald expects to release his first full solo album in late 2023.
