FogRoom is a band made up of 5 Kingston senior high school students. They began playing together in 2022 as a way to pass time between school band practices. The band's instruments include piano, vocals, guitar, bass, drums, and auxiliary percussion. Combined, the musicians have over 15 years of musical experience and are extremely dedicated to their craft. They are all passionate about music and enjoy getting together to jam.
The band plays a variety of covers spanning from classic eighties rock; songs by Elton John, Billy Joel and David Bowie, to more contemporary music like "Love Grows" by Edison Lighthouse and "Stacy's Mom" by Fountains of Wayne. They have also created some outstanding original content that has received rave reviews.
FogRoom has experience performing as a part of the 2022 Juvenis Festival in their Battle of the Beats event and as the entertainment during the festival's closing event. During this festival, FogRoom received an honorable mention and an award titled Outstanding Musical Performance. FogRoom has also performed in front of a large crowd at the Frontenac Secondary School Coffee House. Recently FogRoom has performed at the Welborne Avenue Public School Year Family BBQ as well as at the Leon’s Centre for the Frontenac Secondary School Graduation. Various other performances include Daft Brewing, Mackinnon Brothers Brewing, Spearhead Brewing, the City of Kingston at Confederation Park and outside the Visitor Information Centre.
