About

Christopher Jackson

After 30 years as a working musician in a variety of cover bands and session recordings, multi-instrumentalist Christopher Jackson decided it's time to put all his experiences together and see where his own writing and music might take him.

Engaging with the audience through banter from which no one can hide, Christopher hooks his listeners with music by his favourite artists such as the Rolling Stones, Allman Brothers, Eric Clapton, The Band, Willie Nelson and various 70's one hit wonders redone in unique Jackson style. It's a common occurrence to have the whole room singing along during Christopher's performances!

On May 1, 2023, Christopher Jackson released his debut album, co-produced and engineered by Paul “Doc” Halladay.

About Christopher Jackson

Kingston’s singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Christopher Jackson has been a working musician for over 25 years now and has built the reputation of being a true entertainer. From touring and performing, to session recordings, private shows, festivals, and even a guest spot on a Texas cooking show, Jackson has done it all. Recognized for his soulful guitar work, charismatic stage presence and audience banter, it’s not uncommon for innocent bystanders to be drawn in and woven into the fabric of the evening's entertainment.

Growing up in Chatham, Ontario, Jackson was born to play music. From preschool to high school, he was fascinated by music, rock stars and instruments. Drawn first to the drums and guitar, he learned to play by ear and sang intricate harmonies along with his sisters’ records before he had even known what harmony was. At the age of 16, he got a taste of performing in front of an audience - and he has never looked back. Adventure and music lured him out of town and out on the road, drumming and singing with renowned cover bands and collaborations with several original artists. Landing and settling in Kingston, he learned whatever instrument was needed to fill holes in the vibrant music scene before establishing himself in a series of successful cover bands, go-to session player, and as an independent artist.

Jackson’s debut album carries that personal connection felt at his live shows into his recordings. Laden with rich and heavy hitting harmonies, the production evokes notes of 1970s roots rock, alt-country, and a folky Americana/Canadiana feel with his own Jackson twist. Written for the most part during the pandemic lock downs, all the vocals and most of the instruments are performed himself. Produced in collaboration with longtime friend, fellow musician and recording engineer Paul “Doc” Halladay, the album also features guest appearances by local and outside musicians. Now ready for the world to hear, listeners will find themselves captured by music that is authentic, real, and relatable.
