Cantabile Choirs opens its new concert season with Cantos y Ritmos, a lively exploration of the rhythms, traditions, and extraordinary diversity of Caribbean music. The concert takes place Saturday, November 7, at 7:30 p.m. at The Spire, 82 Sydenham Street. Details and tickets here.

Joining Cantabile for this special performance is OKAN, the two-time JUNO Award-winning ensemble celebrated for electrifying performances that fuse Afro-Cuban traditions with jazz, folk, and global influences.

Known for their dynamic performances, OKAN will spend several days in Kingston working with Cantabile singers before taking the stage alongside more than 180 voices. Together, they will create a powerful musical journey shaped by rhythm, song, and movement.

Under the artistic direction of Geoffrey Sirett, the program traces the African, European, and Indigenous influences that have shaped musical traditions across the Caribbean. Cantos y Ritmos invites audiences to experience the region’s rich artistry and share in the vibrancy of its music.
